WELCOME

I’m a  writer, storyteller, and international award-winning radio documentary producer.

My latest book is The Mill Girls: The Newfoundland Women who Transformed Canada’s Industrial Heartland (Boulder Books, 2025).

I’m also the co-author, with Xaiver Michael Campbell, of Black Harbour: Slavery and the Forgotten Histories of Black People in Newfoundland and Labrador  (BoulderBooks, 2023).

I was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, where I live with my family today. I have a Bachelor of Music from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Master of Arts in Journalism from Western University in London, Ontario. When I’m not telling stories, I’m an avid runner and knitter, but not at the same time.
